Electrical - Multiple Malfunctions After EIS Replacement

After EIS Replacement Circuit 15x Delayed After Ignition Start

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of electrical anomalies such as inoperative steering wheel adjustment, inoperative air conditioning I heater, and the loss of the outside temperature display within the instrument cluster for approximately 50 seconds after vehicle start-up, following the replacement of an EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch), perform the following remedy to repair.

1) Using STAR Diagnosis enter the following menu: Control Units --> Body --> EIS --> Control Unit Adaptation --> Read Coding and Change if Necessary

2) Enter menu item for "Turn signal confirmation for opening and closing via transmitter key" and set coding to "ON". Carry out transferring coding to control unit.

3) Enter menu item for Adaptation of electronic ignition switch to vehicle model" and set Vehicle Model coding to "W2201215 before modification Year 01/1". Carry out transferring coding to control unit.
