DOOR CONTROL MODULE FAILURE
During the after-market window tinting process, the glass lubricant necessary to squeegee out air bubbles between the glass and film may run down the glass and into the electrical connectors for the door control module. This can cause the door control module to fail. To avoid this situation, follow the steps outlined below before beginning the after-market window tinting procedure:
1. Remove the door liners.
2. Remove the door control modules.
Refer to the following WIS documents for both of the operations above:
^ AR72.29-P-1000M, Removing and installing front door control module
^ AR72.29-P-1100M, Removing and installing rear door control module
3. Cover the electrical connectors to ensure that they remain dry.
