Distronic radar sensor design
The radar sensor is installed in an aluminum casing. The voltage is supplied by the Distronic control module. The analog preprocessed sensor data are transmitted along a coaxial cable to the control module.

Distronic radar sensor function
Three transmit/receive beams each have an opening angle of 3°. The distances and the relative speeds to the target objects ahead are detected from the signal propagation times of the received signals by means of a Doppler shift. The range is up to 150 meters.
