Measuring Rear Axle Steering/Suspension Components

Checking Alignment Of Spring Link, Camber Strut, Tension Arm, Torque Strut and Track Rod On Rear Axle







Inspect
- Before measuring, perform visual inspection
- Check individual parts for damage, corrosion and wear

Measuring camber strut
1 Remove, install camber strut (2)
2 Install/remove plug gauges (041b)
3 Measure dimension "L1" on both sides

Measuring tension arm
4 Remove, install tension arm (3)
5 Install/remove plug gauges (041b)
6 Measure dimension "L4" on both sides

Measuring track rod
7 Remove, install track rod (4)
8 Install/remove plug gauge (041d)
- Mark center point of track rod end.

9 Measure dimension "L3"

Measuring torque strut
10 Remove, install torque strut (5)
11 Install/remove plug gauges (041b)
12 Measure dimension "L2" on both sides

Measuring spring link
13 Remove, install spring link (6)
14 Install/remove plug gauges (041e, 041f)
15 Measure dimension "L5" on both sides
