The left front door control module (N69/1) connected to the CAN B bus serves for
- control of the left front power window motor (M10/3)
- control of the left electrically adjustable and heated exterior rearview mirror (M21/1) whereby control of the right front door control module (N69/2) is accomplished via the CAN
- actuation of interior lights and pushbutton unit illumination
- actuation of the solenoid valve for power locking and

The door control module reads in the following switch states/signals:
- Right front power window switch (S21/2)
- Left front door lock switch (CF) (S86/1)
- Seat adjustment switch, passenger seat
- Heated seat switch, passenger seat
- Seat ventilation switch, passenger seat
- Memory switch for storing and calling passenger seat positions
- Left front door power locking drive pawl microswitch (S86/2)
- Right electrically adjustable and heated exterior rearview mirror (M21/1)
- Left front door IR receiver (A26/1)
