Checking Pneumatic Function




Preliminary operation:
Check central locking for leaks, Testing and Inspection







Prepare for testing
Numbers 1 - 3.
Check leaks of the actuator in the pressure range
Permissible leak rate in 1 minute at 600 mbar pressure <= 25 mbar
Check leaks of the actuator in the vacuum range
Permissible leak rate in 1 minute at 300 mbar vacuum <= 25 mbar.

Preparing test
1 Remove actuator







2 Slide sliding sleeve (a) over switching rod retainer (b), by pressing sliding sleeve lock (arrow). (Only on the left and right door actuators S47, S48).
3 Connect test equipment for vacuum and pressure systems to the pneumatic connection of the actuator.






Test


NOTE: If no leaks are established on the actuator (apart from actuators S47 or S48), check the pneumatic line for leaks. Testing and Inspection

On vehicles up to 12/93 if no leaks are established on the actuators S47 or S48, check switchover valve - venting of central locking of the driver's door Y65/1, and front passenger door Y65/2 .
