In the Brake Assist System (BAS) brake booster

Task
To pressurize the chamber on the driver s side for maximum brake boost in the case of BAS.

With Electronic Stability Program (ESP): Apply a pilot pressure of approx. 5 bar to the high-pressure pump in ESP control mode.

With DTR: (model 220). To decelerate the vehicle in DTR control mode if necessary.
