Riveting Timing Chain







NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Bolt holding device (01) onto cylinder head.
2. Cover over chain housing with a clean cloth.
3. Screw thrust spindle (02) together with thrust pin (02a) into chain separating tool (03).
4. Position chain separating tool (03) against timing chain.
- Position chain separating tool (03) against timing chain pin (arrow).
5. Screw in thrust spindle (02) sufficiently until thrust pin (02a) makes contact with timing chain pin.
6. Screw in thrust pin (02a), arid press out timing chain pin (arrow).





7. Unscrew thrust spindle (02) and take off chain separating tool (03).
8. Remove pressed-out timing chain pin (1) from chain separating tool (03).
