Function
Residual engine heat utilization with stationary ventilation enables vehicle to be heated even with ignition OFF. For this, system uses residual heat of engine and directs it via blowers into interior

Residual engine heat utilization is put into operation by pressing (REST) button on control and operating unit.

Auxiliary coolant pump maintains water circuit to heater heat exchanger.

Air quantity is automatically adjusted.

Temperature control tales place in accordance with interior temperature preselected on temperature dials.

Before switching on, ignition key must be turned to position 1 or 0 or withdrawn.

Automatic switching off takes place,
- if key in steering wheel lock is turned to position 2,
- after approx. 30 minutes,
- if battery voltage falls below 11.5 V.
