Removing and Installing Fuel Level Gauge Sensor







Removing, installing


DANGER: Risk of explosion as a result of fuel vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning as a result of inhaling fuel vapors. Risk of injury as a result of fuel coming into contact with skin and eyes.

- No fire, naked flame or smoking. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriate marked containers, Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.



1 Empty fuel tank, fill


NOTE: If fuel tank is full, pump out about 8 liters of fuel

2 Remove luggage compartment screen
3 Lift trim panel for fuel tank in trunk
4 Unplug socket (arrow) for fuel gage sensor (B4) and pressure sensor


NOTE: only (USA):


5 Open bayonet lock of fuel gage sensor (B4)
Refer to Special Tool below

6 Take out fuel gage sensor (B4)


NOTE: Installation: replace seal (89/2). Oil to facilitate installation.


7 Install in the reverse order
