Campaign - Vacuum Line Emission Label Incorrect

MODEL 170.449 (MODEL YEAR 2001)
MODEL 203.747 (MODEL YEAR 2002)
REPLACING VACUUM LINE EMISSION LABEL

It has been determined that the Vacuum Line Emissions Label, as noted in the models above, is incorrect and needs to be replaced. Please see Table 1 for an overview of incorrect and correct part numbers for each model and model year. In addition, the correct Vacuum Line Emissions Labels are shown in Figures 1 and 2, for your reference.

Please perform this Service Campaign during the vehicles' next scheduled service visit.

CHECKING/REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

1. Prior to performing this Service Campaign, please check VMI to insure the vehicle is involved and to determine if the vehicle has been previously repaired.

2. Open hood and locate affected Vacuum Line Emissions Label (located right rear of hood near windshield).

3. Remove the incorrect Vacuum Line Emissions Label using a suitable tool.

4. Carefully clean any residue from the location of the just removed incorrect label using a suitable solvent.








5. Remove the protective cover from the correct vacuum Line Emissions Label (Figure 1 or Figure 2) and attach new correct label (based on model and model year) onto the same location as the removed incorrect label.

6. Close hood.

LABEL SUPPLY AND ORDERING PROCEDURE

An initial supply of labels will be drop-shipped to dealers based on sales reports. Any order above the initial supply quantity should be sent to Dealer Parts Services using the RPS Order Form in NetStar. These orders should include the VIN. Any dealer who is not on NetStar can fax their order to 1-877-766-6262.
