Convertible Top Switch: Description and Operation

Purpose
To send voltage coded signals to combination control module (N10-3) when actuated.


Function
Before starting a function it is first necessary for the system to recognize that the Vario roof switch is in the non-actuated position.
The Vario roof switch must be actuated in one direction for t > 500 ms to start a Vario roof function.
If the function is terminated because the vehicle is traveling faster than 8 km/h and the Vario roof switch remains depressed, the roof function is continued when the vehicle speed drops below the threshold of 5 km/h.
If the Vario roof switch is actuated for t < 10 s before the vehicle speed decreases to below the speed threshold, the corresponding roof function is performed as soon as the vehicle slows down to below the speed threshold (only when Vario roof switch is pressed).
