Triggering Alarm With Panic Button

Panic Alarm Shown On Model 203.0:

Panic alarm (USA)
The panic alarm can only be started by means of the transmitter key (A8/1) by pressing the panic button for t = 1s, and stopped by quickly pressing and releasing the panic button. The horn emits a panic alarm signal regardless of whether it is "armed" or "reset".

Exception: The panic alarm is also stopped when the EIS[EZS] control module (N73) detects the valid key.

NOTE: The panic alarm has priority over the ATA[EDW] alarm. If both alarms are set off, the panic alarm is emitted.

Function sequence
The signal sent by the transmitter key (A8/1) is received by the vehicle, the key code is checked and the signal is forwarded via the CAN to the Rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) . The Rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) then executes a visual and acoustic alarm. The alarm can be terminated by pressing the panic button again or by inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the keyhole in the EIS[EZS] control module (N73).

NOTE: The panic alarm function and the alarm duration are programmable via diagnosis.
