Anti-Theft Alarm System (ATA [EDW])
Networking Of ATA [EDW] Shown On Model 203.0:
Function
The anti-theft alarm system (ATA[EDW]) monitors the on/off of all relevant switches and inputs. If it detects a change of state in one of the monitored inputs, it triggers a country-specific acoustic and visual alarm.
The acoustic signals are emitted by means of the alarm signal horn with additional battery(H3/1). The visual signals are country-specific and delivered by means of various lamps.
The standard ATA[EDW] system includes the "anti-towing sensor (TS[AS])" function. The "interior motion sensor" features are optional (special equipment), code 882. The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) has the master function. The alarm signal horn with additional battery (H3/1) is connected to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2). The control modules involved exchange the data required for the ATA[EDW] function via the interior compartment CAN.
NOTE: The country-specific functions and alarm outputs are set during the vehicle's end-of-line programming.
