Open Trunk Lid With Interior Switch

Open Trunk Lid With Interior Switch Function:

The trunk lid release switch (S20/1s6) is used to open the trunk lid from inside the vehicle.

Function requirements
The function of the trunk lid release switch (S20/1s6) is enabled by the left front door control module (N69/1) when:
- the emergency opening function is triggered
- the vehicle is unlocked using the transmitter key
- the vehicle is unlocked by opening a door in cases where the vehicle was previously locked automatically or by means of the interior central locking switch (N72/1s6)
- the transmitter key is inserted into the ignition lock after locking the vehicle with the transmitter key.

In the above cases the left front door control module (N69/1) receives an appropriate CAN message.

The function of the switch is disabled by the left front door control module (N69/1) when
- the automatic lock function is triggered
- the vehicle is locked using the transmitter key or the interior central locking switch (N72/1s6).

Operational sequence
Operation of the trunk lid release switch (S201/s6) is read in by the left front door control module (N69/1). If the function of the switch is enabled1 the left front door control module (N69/1) sends the open trunk lid command via CAN to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2). The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the trunk lid CL[ZV] motor (M14/7) provided the lock cylinder is not in the 90 ° position locking the motor.
