Park Position Passenger Side Outside Rearview Mirror Function (Illustrated On Left-hand Steering Model)

Function prerequisites
- No over or undervoltage
- Terminal 15 R or 15 ON
- Reverse gear engaged for t > 1s
- Switch for adjusting passenger side mirror pressed
- Potentiometer supplies valid values
- Function in instrument cluster active

Function
If the function prerequisites are fulfilled, the passenger side mirror is moved into the park position. The previously set position is stored in the RAM. The vehicle key used is assigned a manually adjusted park position via the storage block number.

Resetting mirror position
The outside rearview mirrors are automatically returned to the original position when
- for an uninterrupted period of t < 20s a reverse gear is not detected,
- the vehicle speed exceeds 10 km/h,
- the mirror adjustment switch is actuated.

If, when Terminal 15 is switched off the mirror is in park position, when Terminal 15 is switched on again and
- if reverse gear is not engaged, the mirror will be reset after t > 1s,
- if reverse gear is engaged the mirror will be moved to the park position after t > 1s.


NOTE: If at any given time a manually programmed adjustment is conducted the mirror park position function is terminated.
