Remove/install oil pump

Shown On Engine 112:

DANGER:
- Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

1.1 Remove top part of oil pan
1.2 Remove oil pan
2 Push back chain tensioner (1) and take oil pump chain (2) off oil pump gear (3)
3 Unscrew bolt (4) from oil pipe (5)
4 Unscrew bolts (6) of oil pump (7)
5 Remove oil pump (7)

CAUTION: Installation: Fill oil pump (7) with engine oil before installing so that it immediately delivers oil when first started.

6 Clean strainer of oil pump (7)

NOTE: For this step unscrew bolts (9) and remove cover (10) with oil pipe (5) from oil pump (7).

7 Check oil return shutoff valve (8) for correct seating

NOTE:
- Installation: On Engine 112, 113
- On Engine 111 the oil return shutoff valve (8) is mounted in the high range of the oil duct and for this reason the seating of the oil return shutoff valve (8) must not be checked.

8 Install in the reverse order.
