Function

The ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5) compares the 4 wheel rpm depending on the tire pressure. A reactivation is followed by a learning phase. In this phase the relative rolling circumferences of the tires are taught in 6 different vehicle speed intervals. The tire pressure loss warning (RDW) is not active in this learn mode. The matching of the individual intervals takes 10 minutes/Interval. As of this point in time in each case the FL and RR ND FR and RL tires are compared with each other.

Warning message

The tire pressure loss warning (RDW) has established while driving that the rolling circumferences of the wheels have changed relative to each other (considerable pressure loss in one tire).

Reminder message

This message is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13) after a red warning message, if the tire pressure loss warning was not reactivated after this.
