Manual adjustment function

The steering column can be adjusted manually by means of the steering column up/down and forward/back switch (S91/2s13).

The adjustment requests are transmitted from the left front door control unit (N69/1) via CAN-B (CAN-B).

The driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) actuates the steering column adjustment motor group (M20) accordingly.

Memory adjustment function

Via the memory switches 1, 2, 3 (S91/2s14) the steering column can be adjusted into a position previously stored in the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).

The left front door control unit (N69/1) reads in the left front door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) and places the signals for the adjustment request on the CAN-B (CAN-B).

The driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) actuates the steering column adjustment motor group (M20) accordingly.

In parallel with this the driver seat and outside mirrors are adjusted corresponding to their stored position.
