Convenience Closing of Power Windows
Convenience Opening/Closing Via Infrared Signal Networking Of Components Shown On Model 203.0
Function requirements
- Circuit 15C, circuit 15R and circuit 15 OFF
- No overvoltage/undervoltage
- All doors closed (state: locked) and
- No other control module sending central closing messages and
- "Lock" button on transmitter key (A8/1) pressed and held for longer than 1s
Function
The respective door control modules (N69/1, N69/2, N69/3, N69/4) receive the CAN message for convenience closing and actuate the power window motors (M10/3, M10/4, M10/5, M10/6). The motors are actuated for as long as the transmitter key button is pressed, though for no longer than 25s.
The power window convenience closing function also operates on windows that are not normalized. The power windows are actuated as they are during manual raising. The obstruction sensor is only active for normalized windows.
NOTE: Model 203.7 has no rear door control modules or power window motors.
The convenience closing function is aborted if
- lock-up is detected, or
- The request is no longer received via CAN. or
- The function requirements listed above are no longer satisfied.
NOTE: Deployment of the convenience opening function also closes the tilting/sliding roof (in models 203.0 and 203.2). In model 203.7 it closes the panoramic sliding roof.
