Power Window Normalization
Normalization correlates the position recognition count in each door control module with the actual position of the side windows.
The following control modules must be normalized:
- Left front door control module (N69/1)
- Right front door control module (N69/2).
- Left rear door control module (N69/3)
- Right rear door control module (N69/4)
NOTE: Model 203.7 has no rear door control modules or power window motors.
Normalization must be performed whenever denormalization has occurred.
Until a window is normalized, the end position of the side window is unknown to the corresponding door control module and the automatic raising function cannot be carried out.
Normalization is therefore required for the power window automatic raising function.
Performing normalization
Using the power window switch, place the window to be normalized in the upper end stop position and keep the switch in the manual raise position. When the control module detects a motor lock-up for at least 0.3s, it sets the position recognition counter to zero. The window is now in the normalized state. This means that during opening and closing of the window, the control module can now cut off the motor before the mechanical limit stop is reached.
Renormalization
The control module automatically performs renormalization when there is an error in position recognition, for example, if the position counter shows a negative count.
