Wiper Motor Blocking Protection

Blocking detection
Blocking of the wiper motor (M6/1) is detected by the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) due to the lack of cam switch signals.

Blocking protection during wiper operation at setting 2
If the cam switch signal is missing for more than four seconds, the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) shifts the wiper motor (M6/1) down to setting 1.

If the signal remains off for an additional eight seconds, the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) switches the wiper motor (M6/1) off.

However, if a signal is received from the cam switch during these eight seconds, the motor is shifted back up to setting 2.

Blocking protection during touch wiping, interval wiping, washing and wiping in setting 1
During these functions the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) switches the wiper motor (M6/1) off,and if no cam switch signals are received for more than twelve seconds.

NOTE:
In all cases the blocking protection is canceled again if
- the relevant function is requested again by activating the combination switch (S4) or
- term. 15R is switched on again.

If the wiper motor (M6/1) still blocks after the blocking protection has been canceled, it is switched off as described above.
