Infrared Receiver

Location:

Location
The driver's door IR receiver (A26/1) and front passenger door IR receiver (A26/2) are located near the lock cylinder.

Task
Receives infrared signals from the transmitter key

Design
The infrared receiver consists of an IR-sensitive semiconductor chip with active control electronics.
The receiver is recessed in the door handle behind a filter.

Function
The infrared receiver converts the infrared signal from the transmitter in the transmitter key (A8/1) into an electrical signal. The electrical signal is read by the left front door control module (N69/1) or the right front door control module (N69/2). The information contained in the signal is transmitted by the door control module in the form of a CAN message.
