Normalizing Seats
Normalizing
The functions:
- head restraint presetting and
- easy entry
require an assignment between the absolute adjustment position and the position detected by the driver / passenger side front seat adjustment control module with memory (N32/1 or N32/2). This assignment is set up by means of a normalizing process in which the following individual adjustments have to be moved to the limit stops:
- longitudinal adjustment limit stop
- head restraint adjustment up stop
The drive current must continue for a min. of 250 msec after reaching the limit stop; the driver / passenger side front seat adjustment control modules with memory (N32/1 or N32/2) will switch off the drive after detecting the limit stop.
NOTE: The normalizing process can also be conducted with the diagnosis using the normalizing routine.
NOTE: Easy entry: In order to make it easier to enter/exit the vehicle, the driver's seat and the steering column are moved to an easy entry position (seat moves back and steering column moves up), this function can be activated/deactivated on the instrument cluster.
