Special Tools:

Component Identification:

1 Using pliers (064), insert retaining ring (29), marked during removal, into groove such that opening of retaining ring (29) points toward rib (arrow).

Install the retaining ring (29) that was previously removed and marked in order to achieve a basic preload of the rear axle housing.

Component Identification:

2 Use drift (048) to check that retaining ring (29) is seated correctly.
