Child Protection

The rear power windows safety switch (S20/1s5) in the driver power window switch group (S20/1) can be used to disable operation of the rear power window switches (S21/3, S21/4) found in the rear doors (child protection).

The rear power windows safety switch (S20/1s5) prevents the unwanted actuation of the rear power windows by means of the operating switches in the rear.

Activating the child protection feature completely disables the rear power window switches (S21/3, S21/4). Any operation initiated by use of the rear power window switches (S21/3, S21/4) is immediately terminated.

Operations activated or active by means of the driver power window switch group (S20/1) are not affected by the activation of the child protection.
