Rear SAM Control Module With Fuse and Relay Module
The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) performs the following tasks:
Controlling
- The ATA [EDW] (master function)
- The rear window defroster
Scanning the following switches:
- Trunk lid contact switch (S88/6)
- Trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8)
- Trunk lid rotary tumbler microswitch (S17/8)
- Left front door contact switch (S17/3)
- Right front door contact switch (S17/4)
- Left rear door contact switch (S17/5)
- Right rear door contact switch (S17/6)
- ATA [EDW] hood switch (S62)
Scanning the fuel level sensor (B4)
The resistance of the fuel level sensor (B4) is polled every 250 ms.
This resistance is assigned a percent value that is averaged with the previously measured value and fed to the interior CAN.
Scanning the following signals:
- Scanning the signals (central locking) from the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12) and feeding them to the interior CAN.
Switching loads via semiconductor switches:
- Lamps of exterior lighting system
- Lamps of interior lighting system
- Trunk lid CL [ZV] motor (M14/7)
- [1][2]Tailgate wiper motor (M6/4) (model 203.2 only)
- Retractable head restraint (RHR [KAF]) release valve (Y24/1)
Switching the following relays:
- Fuel pump relay (N10/2kL)
- Relay 1, circuit 15R (N10/2kQ)
- Relay 2, circuit 15R (N10/2kM)
- Rear window defroster relay (N10/2kP)
- Fuel filler cap polarity change 1 relay (N10/2kR)
- Fuel filler cap polarity change 2 relay (N10/2kS)
- Relay 1, circuit 15R (N10/2kF) (model 203.2 only)
- Rear window blind relay (this relay is in the cable harness; it is not on the SAM)
The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is connected with the interior CAN for the purpose of data exchange.
