Receiving Remote Control Signal

The remote control radio signal is received via the rear window antenna. The receiver in the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12) converts the radio signal into a data signal. These signals are evaluated by the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and are transmitted over CAN. The infrared signal is received by the driver's door IR receiver (A26/1) (national variant).

The control module connected to the relevant receiver evaluates the signal.

The access authorization code and remote control command contained in the signal are transmitted as a CAN message to the electronic ignition / starter switch control module (N73). The electronic ignition / starter switch control module (N73) verifies the access authorization code and transmits the appropriate command over the CAN bus if the code is valid.
