Headlamp Cleaning System (Hcs)
Functional prerequisite:
- Terminal 15 ON
Function
- 1 he headlamp cleaning system is switched on by pressing the SRA switch (S1s7).
- The relevant front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) input that reads in the switch is switched to ground.
- The front SAM with fuse and relay module (N10/1)switches term. 30 through to the SRA pump (M5/2) for a duty cycle lasting approx. 1 second via a semiconductor
- The SRA pump (M5/2) builds pressure up in the washing water pipe.
- The water pressure acts against the telescopic nozzle return springs.
- The telescopic nozzles move out and spray washing water onto the headlamps.
- After the duty cycle the pressure in the washing water pipe drops again and the telescopic nozzle are moved back to their starting position by spring power.
NOTE:
Pressing the SRA switch (S1s7) again during a headlamp cleaning cycle has no effect.
Another cleaning cycle cannot be started until the previous one has finished.
