Voltage for the camshaft adjustment valves is supplied by circuit 87. Actuation is performed by the ME control module at the ground side and clocked. A starting current of as much as 2.6 A is permissible for short periods (on/off ratio approx. 95 %). The holding current is approx. 0.55 A at a clock frequency of approx. 1 kHz.
