Check Condition Of Battery







DANGER: Risk of explosion from electrolytic gas. Risk of poisoning and irritation if battery acid is swallowed. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1.1 Remove rear seat
1.2 Fold rear seat cushion forwards and remove battery compartment cover
1.3 Fold back trunk cover or fold cargo space cover up
1.4 Open battery cover in passenger side footwell
1.5 Open hood and raise to vertical position
2. Visual inspection for external leaks

NOTE: If leaks are found: Replace battery

3 Check battery

NOTE: Ascertain condition, install new battery if necessary.

4 Check fluid level

NOTE: If necessary, refill with distilled water.
