Checking and Adjusting Camber and Caster At Front Axle

Inspecting
1 Observe general information on chassis alignment check
2 Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclination meter and adjust if necessary
3 Check camber, assign tabular value
4 Check caster and assign to tabular value

Adjusting
5 Raise vehicle.
6 Install repair bolt (19c)

NOTE: Screw nut (19b) onto the bolt (19c) until it makes contact, but refrain from tightening it to allow the rubber mount of the transverse control arm to twist during spring compression.

7 Re-check vehicle level at front axle after adjusting the camber and caster

NOTE: The vehicle level must correlate with the dimension established on the initial measurement.

8 Tighten nut (19b) of repair bolt (19c)

CAUTION: The repair bolt must not be turned after being fixed in position. When tightening the nut (19b), be sure to counterhold the repair bolt (19c) otherwise the locating lugs in the rubber mount of the torque strut or spring link will be sheared off.

9 Adjust rear axle toe
10 Adjust front axle toe
