GF40.15-P0001-02D Tire pressure monitor (TPM), activation




If the tire pressure is changed by the driver, or if a wheel is replaced or a tire is changed, the set air pressure values must be stored in the TPM control unit (N88) as nominal monitoring values.

Proceed as follows:
- Correct the air pressure at each wheel.
- Switch on ignition (terminal 15).
- Engine ON or engine OFF.



- Use the scroll forward/back push-button (S11 Os1) to select the tire pressure monitor system.



- Press the reset button (1) in the instrument cluster (A1).



- The previous pressure display changes



- to the selection screen with the default "NO" selected.
- Press the "+" key on the + and - push-button (setting of specific functions and volume control) (S111 s1) on the multifunction steering wheel.



- The selection screen appears for approximately. 2 seconds with "YES" selected and then changes immediately



- to the confirmation screen.
- All other buttons cause the activation sequence to be aborted.



- Immediately after the engine is started, the pressure display appears without numerical values.
- If activation is performed with the engine running, this display is approximately 30 seconds out of synchronization.



- The current tire pressures are displayed after approximately. 10 min driving time. The activation sequence is complete.
