General
Version 1 up to 08/95
Version 2 as of 09/95
The basic function of the interior central locking is very similar to that of the central locking. It is a single line system in which the pneumatic elements are operated by pressure or vacuum (dual pressure central locking).
The glove box, spectacles compartment, center stowage compartment, cassette compartment, two compartments in the rear, and the lid of the door storage pockets are locked and unlocked using the central locking.
NOTE: As of 09/95 the covers in the door pockets are no longer locked and unlocked.
The interior central locking can be operated with the lock on the glove box lid, the external central locking points or the infrared remote control.
Vehicles with Infrared remote central locking (IRCL) as of 01/94
The interior central locking can still only be operated by the lock cylinder in the glove box lock with the mechanical key.
