MATCHING OIL CONSUMPTION TO DIPSTICK INDICATION
Example:
Engine oil is topped up prior to the test run to "max." = 141 mm (value "0" see table engine 120.980/982). After the test run (measured distance 750 km) the indication read off on the dipstick is 139 mm results in a difference of 500cm(3).
Oil consumption = oil quantity consumed in cm(3)/Measured distance in km = = liters/1000 km
Oil consumption = 500 cm (2)/750 km = 0.67 liters/1000 km
