Indicator and warning displays

Indicator lamps, left turn signal (A1e1), right turn signal (A1e2)
On models 129, 140, 170, 202 the signal comes from the combination relay module (turn signal with trailer coupling, rear window defroster, wiper motor, ATA) (N10/2), on model 210 from the multi-function control module (N10-1) or from the driver-side signal-acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1)

On model 168 the complete turn signal indicator control is located in the instrument cluster (A1).

Low brake fluid level/parking brake indicator lamp (A1e7)
The brake fluid signal comes directly from the brake fluid level switch (S11) (except model 163).
(The parking brake signal comes via CAN.)

Low windshield washer fluid level indicator lamp (A1e13) except models 163 and 168

Low ECL indicator lamp (A1e11), except models 163 and 168

Fuel reserve indicator lamp (A1e4)
This lamp comes on when the reserve range is reached and only goes out after refuelling recognition. If the vehicle is refuelled with the ignition ON, refuelling is only recognized after at least 7 liters of fuel have been added.

Generator charge indicator lamp (A1e5)

Seat belt/backrest lock reminder lamp (A1e9)
The seat belt reminder lamp is only used on some national versions, it is actuated directly by a seat belt buckle switch (NC contact). The lamp flashes briefly after the engine is started.

On model 129 if this lamp does not go out after flashing for a short time, but comes on permanently, the seat backrest is not locked.

Exterior lamp failure indicator lamp (A1e14)
The signal comes from the lamp control module

Hydraulic fluid level indicator lamp (A1e37)
The signal comes directly from the oil level switch (ADS) (S44).

ADS MIL, suspension (A1e27)
The signal comes from the ADS control module (N51).

SRS MIL (A1e15)
The signal comes directly from the ETR control module with airbag (AB) (N2/2)

AIRBAG OFF indicator lamp (A1e56), model 163 only except (USA)
The signal comes directly from the ETR control module with airbag (AB) (N2/2)
