Speed Sensor

LOCATION
- The RPM sensors (Y3/611 and Y3/612) are rigidly connected to the supporting body of the electrical Control unit via contact tongues. The RPM sensors are pressed against the transmission housing (51) by a leaf spring (49) which is supported by the valve housing of the shift plate (2a). As a result a defined distance is ensured between the RPM sensor and pulse ring (50)

TASK
- The signals of the RPM sensors (Y3. 611 and Y3/612) are registered together with the wheel speeds and engine speeds and additional information in the transmission control module (N15/3) and are the input signal for the electronic control.

FUNCTION
- The RPM sensor (Y3/612) registers the speed of the front sun gear via the outer multiple-disc carrier of the multiple-disc clutch K1 (K1b) and the RPM sensor Y3/612 registers the speed of the front planet gear carrier via the inner multiple-disc carrier of the multiple-disc clutch K1 (K1c).
