Adjust Rubber Buffers on Hinge Lever

Gap Dimensions:

NOTE: Set rubber stops only when vario roof is open


1 Slacken locknut of rubber stop (7)

2 Carry out basic adjustment of rubber stop. Screw rubber stop in or out, as applicable, until the distance between the contact surface and the hinge lever is approx. 26 mm (arrow)







3 Apply chalk over surface of hinge lever where rubber stop presses against hinge lever (arrow)

4 Close trunk lid


NOTE: Press trunk lid closed with caution do not slam it shut!







5 Inspect chalk mark made on rubber stops

6 Adjust rubber stops gradually until the chalk can be seen evenly on both sides


NOTE: While doing this, continually check transition points on body and closing force required
