GF82.60-P-2001Q Radio Mode, Function

Radio reception
With model 209.3, the amplifier module 2, window antenna (A2/72) and the amplifier module 3, window antenna (A2/73) receive the frequency-modulated and amplitude-modulated radio frequency signals, filter out the frequencies of the radio frequency bands and amplify them.
With model 209.4, the left antenna amplifier module (A2/64) and right antenna amplifier module (A2/65) receive the frequency-modulated radio frequency signals, filter out the frequencies of the radio frequency bands and amplify them. With model 209.4, the AM trunk lid antenna (A71/1) receives and filters the amplitude-modulated radio frequency signals. The AM trunk lid antenna amplifier (A2/16) amplifies the signals.

The amplified signals are subsequently sent to the radio receiver via a coaxial cable. The radio receiver demodulates the frequency signals, i.e. it separates the useful information (audible frequencies) from the carrier signal (inaudible). The demodulated audio signals are amplified and converted to sound signals by the vehicle speakers.

Different ways of tuning in stations
The automatic scan search is available for all wavebands. The scan search also stops if the button is being pressed.

Manual frequency setting
The receive frequency can be changed manually (except for FM frequencies).

Search function
The function is activated by a long press of the rocker switch. The stations that are found are played briefly for approximately 8 seconds.

Radio Data System function (regional mode)
As well as the normal radio program, many radio stations transmit additional inaudible digital information such as the station name, the program type (e.g. pop, culture, etc.) and traffic radio recognition.
This information is evaluated by the radio (A2) and shown on the display if an appropriate station has been selected and the radio data system is active.

The radio data system function can be switched on and off by briefly pressing the RDS button.
The following subfunctions are supported by the radio data system:

^ Program Service Name
^ Station recognition
^ Alternative frequencies
^ Regionalization
^ Traffic information radio channel
^ Traffic announcements
^ Program type

Autostore
The Autostore function only works for FM stations and is activated by a long press of the FM button on the radio (A2). It stores the 4 frequencies with the strongest signals in quality order in special Autostore memory locations.
