GF80.45-P-2003Q Convenience Closing/Opening With Remote Control Key, Function

Component Identification:

Convenience closing with remote control key (A8/1)
Function requirements:
^ circuit 15c, circuit 15R and circuit 15 Off
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Windows and sliding/pop-up roof synchronized
^ All doors closed (status: locked)
^ No other requests to lock vehicle
^ "Lock" button on remote control key (A8/1) pressed and held down for longer than 1 s.

Function
Pressing the locking button on the remote control key (A8/1) closes all windows. The request for convenience closing is transferred from the left front IR receiver unit (A26/1) or right front IR receiver unit (A26/2)
(only United States Of America and Japan ) to the left door control module (N69/1) or right and door control module (N69/2). This relays the actuation request via the CAN class B bus to the EIS control module (N73).

When the remote control key (A8/1) is recognized, the EIS control module (N73) sends the request to close the windows via the CAN class B bus to the left control module (N69/1), right door control module (N69/2) and rear control module (N22/6).
The left door control module (N69/1) then actuates the left front power window motor (M10/3) in the "Closing" direction, the right door control module (N69/2) actuates the right front power window motor (M10/4) in the "Closing" direction, the rear control module (N22/6) actuates the left rear power window motor (M10/5) and right rear power window motor (M10/6) in the "Closing" direction.

On vehicles with code (414a) Electric glass sliding/pop-up roof, the actuation request from the EIS control module (N73) is relayed via the CAN class B bus to the overhead control panel control module (N70) which then actuates the SR motor (M12m1) in the "Closing" direction.

Convenience opening with remote control key
Function requirements:
^ Circuit 15c, circuit 15R and circuit 15 Off
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Windows and sliding/pop-up roof synchronized
^ All doors closed (status: unlocked)
^ No other requests to lock vehicle
^ "Unlock" button on remote control key (A8/1) pressed and held down for longer than 1 s.

Function
All windows can be opened by pressing the unlocking button on the remote control key (A8/1). The request for convenience opening is transferred from the left front IR receiver unit (A26/1) or right front IR receiver unit (A26/2) (only United States Of America and Japan) to the left door and control module (N69/1) or right door control module (N69/2). This relays the actuation request via the CAN class B bus to the EIS control module (N73).

When the remote control key (A8/1) is recognized, the EIS control module (N73) sends the request to open the windows via the CAN class B bus to the left control module (N69/1), right door control module (N69/2) and rear control module (N22/6).
The left door control module (N69/1) then actuates the left front power window motor (M10/3) in the "Opening" direction, the right door control module (N69/2) actuates the right front power window motor (M10/4) in the "Opening" direction, the rear control module (N22/6) actuates the left rear power window motor (M10/5) and right rear power window motor (M10/6) in the "Opening" direction.

On vehicles with code (414a) Electric glass sliding/pop-up roof, the actuation request from the EIS control module (N73) is relayed via the CAN class B bus to the overhead control panel control module (N70) which then actuates the SR motor (M12m1) in the "Opening" direction.

The convenience opening and convenience closing functions are aborted when
^ the request is no longer received via the CAN class B bus or
^ the function prerequisites listed are no longer fulfilled.
