Function requirement:
^ Circuit 15R ON or circuit 15 ON
^ No undervoltage or overvoltage
^ The seat heater is switched on

Manual switchover
Pressing the left front HS/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s10) or the right front HS/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s11) once enables you to manually:
^ switch over from heating stage 2 to heating stage 1,
^ switch over from heating stage 1 to heating stage 2,
^ switch off the heated seats.

The upper control panel control module (N72/1) correspondingly reduces or increases the electric power output for the left front seat heated cushion (R13/1) and left front backrest heated cushion (R13/2) or the right front seat heated cushion (R13/3) and right front backrest heated cushion (R13/4). Switchover is indicated by illumination of one or both LEDs in the left front HS/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s10) or right front HS/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s11).

Automatic switchover in heating stage 1 after expiry of heating-up time (timer control)
The upper control panel control module (N72/1) implements the timer control for the heated seats.

If the maximum heating-up time of 5 min. is reached, the upper control panel control module (N72/1) automatically initiates the changeover from heating stage 2 to heating stage 1 to reduce the power consumption. The upper control panel control module (N72/1) reduces the electric power output for the left front seat heated cushion (R13/1) and left front backrest heated cushion (R13/2) or the right front seat heated cushion (R13/3) and right front backrest heated cushion (R13/4) and switches off the second LED in the left front HS/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s10) or right front HS/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s11).

After another 30 min. heating time the heated seats are switched off.

The heating times can be programmed via the diagnosis; the times listed in the table are ex-factory settings.
