Each time the steering wheel gear shifter MINUS (S110/1) or steering wheel gear shifter PLUS (S111/1) is operated, the electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) receives an electrical signal. The signal is read in by the electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) and is placed on the Controller Area Network bus class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C). The ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) takes over the gear change.

The steering wheel gear shifter MINUS (S110/1) and steering wheel gear shifter PLUS (S111/1) are not capable of diagnosis.
