GF91.60-P-4018-01T Restraint Systems Control Unit - Task
The restraint systems control unit (N2/7) is used to ensure passive passenger compartment protection. If an accident occurs, the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) triggers the restraint system. This includes the airbags, emergency tensioning retractors, and the belt force limiters. The restraint systems control unit (N2/7) is self- monitoring and ensures the monitoring of faults. Head-on, rear-end, and side impact collisions are recorded, and a distinction is made between the different types of collision. Furthermore, a rollover can be recognized.
The restraint systems control unit (N2/7) has an integrated roll sensor.
Operations on or with the connected restraint systems control unit (N2/7) may only be performed if the transmitter key (A8/1) is removed, otherwise there is a danger that the airbag is triggered erroneously.
