Replacing Oil Pump Chain

Modification Notes:

1 Drain coolant
2 Drain engine oil
3 Remove oil pan's oil-water heat exchanger (9)
4 Remove oil pan (10)
5 Remove oil pump
6 Separate oil-pump chain
7 Rivet oil-pump chain

CAUTION: When replacing the oil-pump chain replace oil-pump gear wheel (25) too or, for oil-pump 2nd version, replace oil pump.

8 Remove oil-pump gear wheel (25)

CAUTION: Installation of oil pump 1st version: Install oil-pump gear wheel (25) with mounted timing chain with camber (arrows) facing oil pump (24).

9 Install in the reverse order.
