Task
- Supplemental information, if combustion misfirings are detected (combustion misfiring perhaps due to fuel starvation)
- (USA) If fuel reserve warning light ON or if the fuel tank is filled to less than approx. 1/4 or to more than 3/4, the leak test of the fuel system is suppressed (then only coarse leak test).

Design/function
The instrument cluster indicates to the ME control unit (Engine 120: right ME control unit) fuel reserve indicator lamp ON or OFF.
With CAN compatible instrument cluster the information exchange is performed via CAN.
