Bearing diagram of crankshaft
The oil grooves (arrows) in the thrust plates (3, 4) must point toward the thrust collars of the crankshaft. Moisten bearing shells (2, 5) with engine oil before inserting the crankshaft (1).
The thrust plates (3) each have a retaining lug as an anti-twist lock in the crankshaft bearing caps. Pay attention to correct seating of the anti-twist locks in the crankshaft bearing caps.
