B Terminating, ending call (press away from driver)
S93/2 VCS switch

The voice control system (VCS) is deactivated by pushing the VCS switch (S93/2) away from the driver.

If during a telephone call, the VCS switch (S93/2) is also moved away from the driver, then the voice recognition of the voice control system (VCS) is deactivated and an existing connection severed. The voice recognition is located in the voice control system control unit (A35/11). Terminating the call is possible at any point during the call. If the user is in the entry mode, they can cause the voice recognition to deactivate the voice control system (SBS) via the hands-free system microphone group (A67b1) by using the voice commands "End" or "Ending". This is possible at any point during the input mode. Furthermore, the voice control system (VCS) can be deactivated via closing commands and execution commands, in other words, the system is deactivated after entering a phone number, for instance, with the execution command "Dial", or after creating a phone book with the closing commands "Accept" or "Memory".

Moreover, the voice control system (VCS) demands the confirmation command "Yes" when a station or a telephone number is deleted. If this command is not issued, the voice control system (VCS) aborts the deletion process.

Ending call
The call is ended via the accept/terminate phone call button (S111s3) in the multifunction steering wheel (MFL) or via the VCS switch (S93/2). If the user does not operate the accept/terminate phone call button (S111s3) after terminating the call (the other caller has already put down the receiver), then the voice control system (VCS) does not consider the call terminated. An incoming call can then not be recognized by the voice control system (VCS), which in turn means that a new connection cannot be established.
