GF54.50-P-2009P Average Speed, Function
- MODEL 203.0 /2 /7 as of 1.7.02 up to 23.4.04

Average speed "Since start" (short-distance memory), function

Average speed since start

Average speed "since reset" (long-distance memory), function

Average speed since the last reset

The "Since start" and "Since reset" displays for the average speed can be activated using the system selection button (S110s3) and scroll forward/back button (S110s1) of the multifunction steering wheel. The following information is required:
- Travel time - calculated internally in the instrument cluster (A1).
- Travel distance - determined by the 4 wheel speeds. The ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5) passes the wheel speeds to the longinstrument cluster (A1) as a message on the class C (engine compartment) controller area network bus (CAN-C).

It is completely normal for the "Since start" display (short-distance memory) and "Since reset" display (long-distance memory) to show different values, since the two displays are based on different sets of data. The "Since start" display short-distance memory) basically responds more accurately to the current driving situation than the "Since reset" display (long-distance memory).
