Power Locks - Central Locking System Inoperative

Up to VIN A254312 and F191414 Central Locking Not Functioning
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the central locking not functioning, the rear SAM may need to be replaced. Follow the procedure below to diagnose.
1. Perform a STAR Diagnosis quick test and read out fault memory.
2. Remove under hood dust filter housing as per WIS document AP83.00-P-8381P.
3. Disconnect ground (negative) cable from battery terminal and leave disconnected for 15 minutes.
4. Reconnect ground cable after the above 15 minute time period.
5. Check for proper function of central locking system, by operating the Smart Key or interior lock/unlock switch.
6. If fault is rectified, then:
a. Reinstall under hood dust filter housing.
b. Perform basic programming/system normalization, due to battery disconnect, as per WIS document AR00.19-P-0200P.
7. If fault was not rectified, then replace rear SAM fuse and relay box (N10/2), according to WIS document:
^ Model 203.0xx AR 54.21-P-1259P
^ Model 203.2xx AR54.21-P-1259PS
^ Model 203.7xx AR54.21-P-1259PC
