GF88.79-P-0005PQ Electrically Adjustable Outside Mirrors, Function
GF88.79-P-0005PQ Electrically adjustable outside mirrors, function
The electrically adjustable outside mirror function includes the following partial functions:
Mirror glass selection between driver/passenger mirror
The mirror glass of the driver/passenger mirror can be selected with the left mirror adjustment switch (S1s4) or right mirror adjustment switch (S1s5) for manual adjustment.
Horizontal and vertical mirror glass adjustment
The mirror glass can be moved to the desired position with the outside mirror raise/lower, in/out rocker switch (S1s6)
Driver/passenger outside mirror lens heating
The driver/passenger outside mirror lens is heated automatically depending on the outside temperature.
Automatically dimming mirror lens in driver-side outside mirror and inside rearview mirror unit (A67)
(on vehicles with code (249) Automatically dimming inside rearview mirror and outside mirror (driver))
The ambient light intensity is sensed by integrated sensors in the inside rearview mirror (A67) and, if required, the mirror glass in the driver outside mirror and inside rearview mirror unit (A67) are automatically dimmed.
Folding in/out outside mirror
(on vehicles with code (500) Folding left/right outside mirrors)
The driver/passenger outside mirror can be folded in/out via the outside mirror fold-in switch (S1s2) or via the outside mirror fold-out switch (S1s3).
Store position of outside mirror and move passenger outside mirror to park position.
(on vehicles with code (275) Electrically adjustable driver seat, steering column and outside mirrors with memory)
The position of the driver/passenger outside mirrors can be stored and called via the memory function.
When the reserve gear is engaged, the passenger outside mirror is moved to the park position.
On vehicles up to 31.8.05, the outside mirror position is stored key-related, i.e. three memory positions can be stored on each transmitter key (A8/1).
This function is omitted on vehicles as of 1.9.05. Only three memory positions can be stored that are not dependent upon the key.
